Terms of Use
Last updated: January 1, 2025
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Irish Wills Registry services. Please read these terms carefully before using our platform. By registering for an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
By accessing and using Irish Wills Registry ('the Service'), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Irish Wills Registry provides an online platform for registering, storing, and managing wills in accordance with Irish law. The Service includes will registration, solicitor matching, secure document storage, and related services.
You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
All wills registered through the Service must comply with Irish succession law. We reserve the right to reject any will registration that does not meet legal requirements. The registration fee of €150 is non-refundable except in cases where rejection is due to our error.
Solicitors using the platform must be registered with the Law Society of Ireland and maintain current professional indemnity insurance. We verify solicitor credentials but do not guarantee the quality of their services. Users engage solicitors at their own discretion.
Payment is required for will registration and solicitor subscription services. All fees are stated in Euros and are subject to change with 30 days notice. Subscription fees are charged monthly in advance and are non-refundable.
We comply with GDPR and Irish data protection laws. Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We use bank-level encryption and secure Irish data centers to protect your information.
All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by Irish Wills Registry and are protected by Irish and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
The Service is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but registered wills remain in our secure archive as required by law.
We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ireland. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
